Product update July 2020

Our native Shopify app is here

Features and improvements

Embed Instagram stories on your store

The first version of our native Shopify app allows you to connect an Instagram profile and display your recent Instagram stories on your store. A Highlight will be created on your store, including all stories that have been published during the last 24 hours. Highlights and stories in Storypop do not expire, so you can keep them live for as long as you want.

Keep in mind, that story reposts from other Instagram users and stories from Instagram's Archive, won't be displayed—Instagram's API doesn't allow us to fetch this kind of stories.

Generate Product Stories automatically

One of our core values in Storypop is to make Story generation as easy as possible, so ecommerce owners can focus on selling. This is why we released Product Stories.

You can choose a product that you'd like to promote or showcase, and Storypop generates a beautiful story with a gradient background based on the colors of each product.

All past Stories—images and videos—are now stored in your Library

Our new Library stores all Stories you published in the past, so you can re-use and create new Stories and Highlights quickly.

Bug fixes and refinements

  • Fixed a bug that caused video stories not to be displayed properly.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the height of product stories to have wrong ratio.
  • Fixed a bug that caused re-arrangement of Highlight not to work properly.
